They could, and no tool can promise otherwise. All three restrict automated access in their terms, so every auto-apply tool carries some risk to your account, this one included. Shigoto keeps that risk low: it runs in your own Chrome under your normal sign-in, works at a human pace, limits how many listings it opens on Indeed, and stops at "verify you're human" checks instead of pushing through them. If you can't afford to lose an account, keep the daily limit low and use Approval mode. More detail: Will SEEK ban you for auto-applying? and how the auto-apply tools compare.
No. The model is prompted to answer screening questions only from facts present in your résumé. If you don't have a security clearance, it won't claim one. If your résumé doesn't say you can drive, it won't tick the licence box. You'll only be matched to jobs you can actually do, which is also what gets you hired.
The résumé file you upload is stored on your Shigoto account, encrypted, along with the latest tailored version. Keeping one copy means every tailored résumé, cover letter and answer is written from the same document. To write them, the relevant parts of your résumé and the job ad are sent to OpenAI's API. We don't use your résumé to train AI models, and OpenAI doesn't train on data sent through its API. Résumé text is kept out of our logs, and your receipts (the letters and answers sent) stay in your browser. Delete your résumé any time from your account page, or email us to delete your whole account. Full details are in the privacy policy.
Yes. Turn on Approval Mode in Config and the bot pauses on every review page. You see the generated cover letter and every answer, then click Confirm to submit or Stop to bail. Most users keep it on for the first dozen applications and turn it off once they trust the output.
Your account drops back to the Free tier: five applications per day. Your applied log, résumé, and config all stay intact. Re-subscribing later restores your existing license key, so nothing is lost.
SEEK Australia, LinkedIn Easy Apply and Indeed Apply. Run one, two or all three; they take turns and share the daily limit. Each one is handled in its own way, including SEEK's Quick Apply and full forms, LinkedIn's multi-step Easy Apply and Indeed's own apply pages. Jobs that send you to the employer's website are skipped, because those forms are different every time.
Yes. Shigoto runs inside your own Chrome, signed in as you, so Chrome has to be open for it to apply. That includes watch mode, which checks for new jobs every 2 to 12 hours while Chrome is running. It's also why Shigoto never needs your job-board passwords.
